Mond (version 2) was created in Unity. Notational objects are animated (position, size, colour, thickness, shape) in real-time and some parts are randomised with each playthrough. It may be played by any ensemble that consists of two winds, two strings, and percussion. (Instrument/performer names can be dynamically set in the main menu.) Text-based instructions guide the performers through each section, and these instructions can be disabled in the Settings menu for a more abstract display during performance.

Accessibility was a primary consideration in the decisions to 1) use an open instrumentation and pitch classes (instead of specific pitches in fixed registers), 2) use simple shapes and patterns for readability on different devices and at various distances from the score, 3) use indeterminate notation that can be sufficiently realised by performers with various levels of technical skill, and 4) present the score to audiences to facilitate an understanding of the performers’ experience without requiring musical literacy.

Note: While the score is running, press 'm' to pause and bring up the Settings Menu.
